How delightful to see John Hurt appear in this with a beautiful, understated performance. The role might have been small, but it was crucial to the film nonetheless.
It was lovely to see him back on the big screen again. Between battling cancer, cut roles and appearing in small films, he's been sorely missed. Superb actor.
Yes. John Hurt ennobles whatever he appears in whether it's Alien, Scandal, or Midnight Express. I especially liked him in I, Claudius where he played Caligula, dangerous, repulsive and funny at the same time. John Hurt is a real class act among actors, glad he got some exposure in Jackie.
