MOLLY: NICE OR BITCHY?
I personally find Molly to be bossy and bitchy. What are your thoughts?
shareI personally find Molly to be bossy and bitchy. What are your thoughts?
shareI find Molly not only bossy, but she seems to want everything her own way. I also think she is very rude at times. The way she treated Mike's mother and Vince really stunned me. Granted, Peggy is a tough character, but when meeting your boyfriend's mother for the first time, I think you put your best foot forward and not make jabs. And Vince, who is a hysterically funny as Peggy, was also mistreated by Molly many times. Whether or not she liked him, her mother did, and she, after all, lives in her house and should respect her relationships.
shareGreat observation. Actually Molly is my least favorite character on the show.
My favorites are Carl, his mother, Vince, and Victoria.
Mrs. Biggs has very funny lines, but her personality can be a bit over the top at times.
Bitchy. She finds a reason to criticize and make sarcastic remarks about everyone she comes in contact with - except maybe the characters played by Susan Sarandon and Kathy Bates. And as someone else mentioned, she doesn't have any friends, just Mike and her mom and sister.

She is just a total bitch I liked the show when it first started have not watched much of it this year because every year it becomes more and more the Molly wants it her way show.

I wondered the same thing myself. I did like the character at first but now she doesn't even seem like the same character anymore.
shareShe used to be nice and caring, now EVERYTHING is about her, Peggy's broken sister comes to town and Molly decides what is best for her, this show used to be alright, now it is a hot pile......... I don't blame the actors I blame the writers.
"we've got movie sign!"
Very true! And the same goes with Peggy's friend who she monopolized on the first visit and in the last episode, forced her out of playing Bingo with Peggy. I know the writers must think this is funny, but I am starting to really dislike Melissa McCarthy's new version of Molly.
shareI didn't like that about the last episode either. Molly was so pushy with Peggy's friend, who just wanted to retire and relax, and Molly wouldn't just let her be. She is so controlling and annoying in that way. I wish Kathy Bate's character would have put her in her place. And the delivering a baby in a car somehow changed the woman's mind to retire? Ugh.
shareI agree. I really dislike the Molly character to the point where it takes away from the show. I wish Grandma was back on and the magic of Mike and Molly returned. It is now nothing but "Movie Melissa McCarthy" and I am not finding her all that likable or entertaining.
shareWell to be fair we found at the end of the episode she didn't really want to "retire;" she was horrified at what she witnessed overseas and was running away from the trauma.
shareBitchy. I never noticed it at first but there were some things she said to mike that I was like oh. Are they fighting? Did I skip an episode? Vince I don't mind bc I don't like the character. But Molly has become pushy and harsh.
I love the sister. I wish she was on more
They should rename the show; 'Mike & Bully'.
The Molly character is now just mean and intolerable.
Bitch, lol. She's actually pretty mean. I don't know how the other characters can put up with her sometimes. Mike needs to stand up for himself once in a while, she can't be right every single time. Right?
shareMolly trying to make Victoria's upcoming wedding what she wants as opposed to what Victoria wants puts a marker in the bitchy column.

I don't like the decisions she makes without considering Mike's feelings: quiting her job; spending her first check as a writer on a car for 'him'; buying shoes for herself knowing they're on a budget and living with her mom. Yes, she is selfish and a control freak, so my vote is yes.
shareI agree with most of those things but quitting her job wasn't something that she had planned. If Molly has planned this then yes she would be inconsiderate. But her having a meltdown in the middle of class and climbing out the window wasn't something that she could have told Mike about beforehand.
shareI agree with most of the stuff said on here. She is mean.
