Who has a high school reunion at 14 years?

It was 13 years and they even acknowledge towards the beginning that the 10 year reunion was missed by a few years, and they did that to make it exactly like present time to acknowledge that it had actually been 13 years since the original came out in theaters, a lot of the sentimental moments or jokes were supposed to be subliminal forth wall references for all of us genX babies who grew up with these characters and have followed them throughout what's been almost the same time period as ours, so we see them as sort of an art-form reflection of ourselves!!

That's totally right. I was impressed that the cast was so specifically brought back in. I was expecting some omitting of people like John Cho. But everyone of note was there in all of them. Commendable. Of course-when Sean William Scott and Jason Biggs are the producers, it wouldn't be hard to adequately cast everyone and get the budget.

But yes-born in 1984, and seeing these films in high school with my buddies was amazing, and I felt like the intent was to be true to that. hich it was. It's hard to make dick and/or fart jokes and have a heart. Other than these, the only thing that is similar in this regard would be Kevin smith films-except those (for the most part) are far better written.

They should have just set the movie in 2009.

For some reason, not after 10 years. By the way, our reunion sucked. I did not wish to attend, I did anyway and it was not a success for anyone.

The simplest & cinematic answer would probably be that it was easier for them to 'touch the 4th wall' about the timing than it would have been to be 100% accurate on products that existed then but not now (it AVOIDS ANACHRONISMS)


I fell asleep during INCEPTION BUT I FEEL like I still saw it!

They should have waited to release this movie in 2019 and make it 20th year reunion.
