That alcohol bottle that Cory had could have been used as a weapon. Once they found out the hooded guy never went into the booth or even ten feet from it they could have just stood near the door and even opened it at times to tease the killer in a cat and mouse game. Eventually it would be morning and the killers plan is done. Use the bottle in hand near the door as a emergency weapon to hit the guy over the head with.
