Dumbest moment in film (Ending)

The second they tried to set off the sprinklers, while the room was filling with water, I came to the conclusion that this was an elaborate suicide pact because there is no way to be that dumb. I mean yeah they tried to do the whole 'it'll call the cops' thing which might make sense, however YOU ARE DROWNING ALREADY AND YOU WANNA ADD MORE WATER!? That was insane, I almost cried laughing just seeing it because someone at some point had to go "Uh, you guys, this might be the single dumbest shot in the movie, ya'll realise that".

.....Oh, also, someone wanna just clue a guy in on why the killer was killing? I'm not asking for a motive but... well, a kickoff point for his spree might help

EDIT: Also why in the hell are the ending credits to this film underscored with a slower version of "Silent Night"?

Lol the dumbest moment was nearly EVERY moment! That part you're referring to made me cringe. One - no one attempted to use the garbage can as a shield against the water. Two - They didn't think to do the "let me go on your shoulders" thing right away when I'd think of that in an instant. Three - He falls, she hits her head and he doesn't even bother to check her pulse (which, in most cases would STILL be there) and just assumes she's gone without any validation. I could go on and on.

Oh god her falling and hitting her head made me cackle. I mean she went through all that hell, all that terror and what actually kills her is clumsiness and stupidity

When they turned on the fire sprinklers the water in the booth at that time was only at one foot. The cops were on their way once they got it turned on. Dumb part is they didn't have to get a fire near it. Once that guy killed the first man I would have those sprinklers going off first thing by finding something to get on top of and just break off the cap and they set off and send alarm for police and fire department to come. Short movie.
