This movie is bad, but I feel I have to defend it...

All the points people on here are bringing up are clearly addressed in the movie. Yes, it's a stupid premise, and yes, they keep doing dumb and dumber things, but they explain why, kind of, and a KILLER is after them and they're yuppie pansies, who would have no idea what to do even if they had access to a plethora of weapons and choices.

But yes, this movie was still bad. Especially when the killer arcs around the building when they go get Josh after he was stabbed.

Okay, I'm going to finish watching it now.

Okay, nevermind, the killer just took out a chair and sat down to watch.
This doesn't deserve to be defended.

And I'm assuming the security footage is shown to make it look like the Blonde guy killed people, but the car was parked against the door, and water started coming in through a vent, AND then the security car crashed into the other car and just...anyway, why would he be a suspect at all?
Yes, at first glance the cops could deduce that he killed the ones inside and someone trapped him in their until the cops could come. But why wouldn't that person have stayed. Or at least called the cops. They came because of the fire alarm going off, right?
Dumb dumb dumb movie.

The cameras went off (were smashed) before his car ws pushed against the door.

Why would you have a problem with this??
It effectively shows the killer's chillingly dark, sadistic personality while offering useful insight into why he's doing what he's doing. Perfectly good device, well used.

Who parks that far away when there are no cars in sight? Especially if your friend is just running in somewhere.

There's no way the blind guy wouldn't be found innocent. Especially since the killer uses the same M.O.

It was made clear. He did it to make his friend walk the distance for whining about eating and wanting to take out money.

But, what about the security guard? He parked far away as well. If it is so cold and at one point of the movie there screen saying it was (-6 F) why would anyone want to put themselves through pain just to walk a country mile to "investigate" whats wrong? That part wasn't realistic at all.

I have no answer for the security guard. Unless he was a guard for the whole area and not just the atm?

This is why you shouldn't comment on films IN THE MIDDLE OF WATCHING THEM (apart from the obvious, that you're taking yourself out of the film, reducing its psychological impact, AND you're also not able to fully pay attention) Who does that? Watching a film while tweeting / texting / posting on boards? Bad practice.

The reason he made an arc around the building was explained at the end, and it was to avoid being caught on the CCTV cameras.

It seems a lot of people under 30 have a problem watching a movie without access to their smartphone. Granted, I go online when watching movies, especially when I watch it on the PC, but for horror movies like this I try to focus on just the movie. Like you said, to stay within the film.

I gave this movie 5/10 because I figured it'd be a bit hokey, but I was wondering how they'd pull a movie out of this concept. It was better than I expected, although I wish there had been a motive of sorts for the killer other than just killing.
