norman and harry osborne are now black. thank you disney, yet another trash i wont watch

let me stay with the good old spiderman 90s cartoon. better then this woke trash

reply

Black Norman actually makes sense, I could see Denzel Washington or Larry Fishbourne playing the character and being powerfully menacing.

reply

no its not making any sense whatsoever. thats not even a black family name. lol.

reply

How is it not a black family name? You think it’s impossible for a black guy to be named Norman Osbourne??? Should his name be changed to JarQuavious Ojembekwe or something?

reply

Norman is commonly a Jewish name if i'm not mistaken. Either way its just more of the race washing double standard. It's considered offensive if you change a black characters ethnicity but progressive and accepted if you change a white characters ethnicity. I don't find either offensive just unnecessary, woke and cringy.

I only find it offensive when they race wash real historical figures as they did with Jodie Turner Smith portraying Anne Boleyn.

reply

I mean it’s a fictional character from a comic book meant for kids, I don’t think ANYONE should be getting offended by that crap. Like, really?

And anyone can be named anything. I’m not hispanic but if I really liked the name Jose, I could name my kid Jose. I also have met a black Norman now that I think about it.

reply

There are definitely black men named Norman but it is commonly Jewish i think. I don't personally find race washing fictional characters offensive. I'm just not a fan of it in general. It's done purely for the sake of pretentious woke propaganda and brings absolutely nothing creative to the table.

Why was Iger Disney offended by white portrayals of Norman and Harry Osbourne?

reply

He probably wasn’t “offended”. And it probably wasn’t his decision either.

reply

Some BIGOT or team of BIGOTS working at Iger's Disney was offended by white portrayals of Norman and Harry Osbourne.

reply

osborne is an irish family name

reply

And??? So is O’Neal, and Shaq is black.

reply

Nothing about it makes any more sense than race swapping white characters from source materials.

The characters are white.

Casting a different race is just moronic.

reply

How do we overcome this? Its bashed into our heads that race shouldnt matter but obviously it does matter to them. This is what insanity looks like.
