When the group gets surrounded by wolves making these crazy noise and all of a sudden, there is this loud fierce growl and they all go totally silent...

....And then..... that awesome loud howl by the Alpha.

Wow !! That sent chills down my spine. Totally loved this movie. The irony of how a suicidal man turns out to be the one to fight all the way and never gives up. 10/10.

Which one was your favorite scene ?

I had an imaginary friend but he won the lottery & went to Brazil, that jerk!!

Loved the easing into death scene in the fuselage. 10/10 is right!

I loved that scene too, OP. But my favorite scene/part of the movie is the first 7 minutes. The setting, the atmosphere, wolf howls, music...that was the best movie opening I ever watched. I loved how after Liam Neeson shot the wolf, he came up to the dying animal and put his hand on his body and kept it there until its last breath. Powerful.

Not so much a scene but when Ottway says:

"A job at the end of the world. A salaried killer for a big petroleum company. I don't know why I did half the things I've done, but I know this is where I belong, surrounded by my own. Ex-cons, fugitives, drifters, *beep* Men unfit for mankind."

That's a great scene. I'd add when Ottway curses to the sky at the end. That was Academy Award worthy acting and an unforgettable experience. "Do something! You fraudulent mother f--cker."

Other good scenes were the campfire and Grillo finally deciding to give up and get left behind.

I just realized something. Ottway says "my kind". So he was an ex-con, a fugitive or a drifter?

When Diaz decides to give up and take in the scenery in his last moments. I totally understood. Not much could top that as the last defining moments of your life.
