Yeah, that Jack Lord was a little creepy but I appreciate the effort of an homage to the original show.

Another little nod to the original show: In the first episode of the classic show (after the pilot), McGarrett reports to the governor after a string of murders is uncovered. The governor chides McGarrett that if tourist start to think Hawaii isn’t safe, the life-blood tourist industry will be threatened. This same scene is played out here.
