The camera angles reveal the fakery.

I know that some of the visits are pre-arranged and they honest about it, but then there are those "freestyling" picks where they apparently just come across a property that has some junk on it. Yet often when they walk into the building the camera crew are already in the building looking back at Frank & Mike as they walk in. Unless the camera crew are Ninjas and the property owner didn't notice them, then they are already aware of what is about the happen, so why do they make it so obvious that it is set up?

Similarly, when Mike and Frank knock on a "stranger's" door (as if completely unannounced), the homeowner isn't the least bit surprised that a camera crew is there filming them -- and they act like nothing out of the ordinary is happening.

An ordinary reaction would be, "WTF ???"

Fake and scripted.

It's called editing. They have had people close the door on them or seem stand offish. When they knock on the door I'm sure they tell them obviously about the camera crew and then edit it out. It's not that hard.

and if you believe that wasn't scripted too then well you will never accept that all these "picks" are prearranged by the production team of this reality show.

You also believe in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny.

Yeh but it is a TV show. I love the show and what sealed it for me was the episode with Jack White and the elephant head. Jack White does not suffer fools lightly. So for him to appear on that show speaks volumes to me

Totally agree. I remember an older episode when they were "freestyling", and they drove up on a property. They were looking for the people that lived there and Mike started doing his annoying "hello!" bellow. A lady comes from around a building about 100 feet away and says "hello" back. The problem is, she was far away, but sounded like she was right next to them (too far a boom mike to pick up, so she obviously had a mike on). Freestyle my ass.
