They worked closely together in life-threatening situations. I would imagine they were very close, not in a "gay" way.

I 've worked with people before, day in day out. I never obsessed over their love life like this. plus ebert said it was gay, and the guy is dead so maybe you should show some respect.

Didn't the DVD have alternate endings where Lauren ended up with Tuck and where the guys realized they were in love with each other?

Haha yes that was one of the alternate endings, the guys chose each other. But that could be construed as choosing their friendship and working relationship over any women that could come between them.

So true but to put it this way it does show that both chris and tom got along really good on set and it needed to be that way. To show the audience that they have been through alot of life threatening experiences and their bond is very brotherly like. Tom being the older more mature brother and chris being the carefree kind.
