Being British is a 'flaw'?!

In what world? I've never met a woman who thought being British was a turn-off! Everything about Tom Hardy was ridiculously sexy - ESPECIALLY his British accent. Really odd of them to throw that in there.

They probably had nothing else to say, as you put it, "Everything about Tom Hardy was ridiculously sexy" ; so they just threw in that, about him being British as a flaw lmao
Some people think His teeth would be a flaw though haha .

MY opinion, not YOURS . Thank you :)

The remark was in reference to British men in bed. Now, don't any British men go and get mad at me, but it is said that British men are not very good in bed. Actually, this is not the first movie to make reference to this idea. I know that Braveheart has a comment by the Princess's friend that they don't know what to do with their tongue.

Mind you braveheart is full of inaccurate history , Makes you think how many people watch films and take it as real history , Btw family guy do it aswell if i remember i dunno what to say though something uld have to try out to find out i guess lol but theres enough single parent mums in this country to say that theres enough sex going on

It was just a joke, no big deal... I'm guessing she had hesitations about his reserved nature and observation of manners. She did say at one point in the film that perhaps he was too 'safe'... That tends to come when you have a 'stiff upper lip'! Stereotypes ahoy.

(PS; I'm British.)

I'm mediterranean and I've never heard anyone saying that the british accent is a bad thing, for me, and most of the women is a huge turn-on. I've always loved the british accent, plus a british accent on a man like Tom Hardy... OMG who cuold resist that?

In the summer my town is quite visited by british and I must say must of the time I go on a walk just to hear them talk and fantise ( as lame as that is...lol))

" Gentlemen, I wash my hand of this weirdness."

reply

Plus I don't think Tom's teeth are ugly, I think they make he's smile very sweet and makes him look like as a kid he was a "infant terrible" ;)

She said it as a reference to the fact that Brit men lack the performance in the sack!. Dull, grey bland lovers, do not exhude the passion or lust of other countries!!

U ever slept with an english guy lol? i can't say an american bird is better or worse than a british cuz i have never slept with one , likewise

This thread is so funny!
Turtlenecks? Good lord!
Turtlenecks are NOT cute.
English accents ARE.

reply

It's the accent some people like some don't. It's never in between. I know many people that either think the British accent is super sexy or super silly and whiny sounding. LMAO.

I think that was the joke, no one ever finds that a turnoff, so it was completely unexpected and silly, therefore gets a laugh in the theatres.

reply

the movie writers couldn't find any flaw in Tom Hardy so they just put that their to make something up

I thought the vagueness of the comment was the joke itself. Tuck's reaction of "what's wrong with that?!?" is funny because we (the audience) are thinking the same thing. We have no idea what the girls are referring to either, even though they both seem to know what it means.

Now I find myself weirdly preoccupied with whether or not Tom Hardy is circumcised.

reply

It's a big flaw.
