In this movie, considering rom-com conventions and the fantasy associated with those conventions a younger actor is required for Reese's part. Reese is OK for the older woman opposite Robert PATTINSON in WATER FOR ELEPHANTS, for instance. This movie not so much.
SARAH JONES now appearing on FOX TV's ALCATRAZ would have been a better choice or someone of her generation.
So, if Reese is too old, aren't Chris and Tom also too old? Because they are playing CIA agents. I don't know but, I think you can't be a CIA agent in your 20s, and I can't imagine why their object of interest would be an older woman, or a younger one for that matter. Why am I even wasting my time replying to this silly thread. I enjoyed the movie and I there is no issue with anyone's age.
shareTotally agree. Yes, I know Tom is only a year younger and Chris only 4 but she SEEMS so much older than them both and looks more mature. I couldn't believe the year of her actual birth because I would have bet older. My husband and I were just saying how miscast she was.
