Reese : TOO OLD for this part

In this movie, considering rom-com conventions and the fantasy associated with those conventions a younger actor is required for Reese's part. Reese is OK for the older woman opposite Robert PATTINSON in WATER FOR ELEPHANTS, for instance. This movie not so much.

SARAH JONES now appearing on FOX TV's ALCATRAZ would have been a better choice or someone of her generation.

I Think are blaming the age when their problem is that they don't want a girl next door atractive type they want to look more a Bombshell like Megan fox and Scarlet Johansson or a statuesque stunning beauty like Nicole Kidman, Catherine Zeta Jones, Angelina Jolie or Charlize Theron.

My point of view this movie works perfectly fine both ways.
With the cast they their Target audience were strictley Woman of all ages, it was a chick flick with a little bitt of action.

But if we change Resse then the two leading male starts need to be replaced as well for Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp,Antonio Banderas or any older sex symbol with a stronger personality.

Tom and Chris had this vibe of cute Rom Coms leading men hehhe

And this is a prime example of age discrimination.

Why, age discrimination?
I said the problem is not the age( actually most of the actors/actresses I find the most attractive are over 30 years old) the problem for so many people here is that they picked a girl next door/ approchable type of beauty when people thought this film required a bombshell like Eva Mendez and Jennifer Lopez or a stunning statuesque beauty like Catherine Zeta Jones, Charlize Theron or Nicole Kidman

I thought she worked really well for this part, cos she's not supposed to be all fresh and doe eyed. And she was a perfect mix of fun and serious when the time called for it. I feel like she needed to seem like she could handle herself. I don't feel like either of the boys would have fallen for a young, perky twenty two year old.

Why is it so many people are against Reese Witherspoon being in movies? The way you mention 'older woman' as if she's like 80 years old. She's 36, cut her some slack will you? I think she's very attractive, the type of woman who looks better with age.

The reason people thinks she's too old is that she is ageing but the way she acts has not. Did you not see her looking like a 12-year old, bouncing around, running to her best friend for everything, pretending to have a boyfriend when she runs into her ex? It looks ridiculous on a 36 year old. And Reese has played this part this way for so long, that's whats getting old.

It amazes me that she hasn't impaled anyone with her chin yet.
