Reyes son, Dante is not in this film. Why were his scenes edited out, then finally shown 11 years later in Fast X? Is an extended cut available anywhere with all the Dante footage in it?

That's because Dante was not in this film. His scenes were shot when Fast X was filmed, and they were spliced in with footage from 5.
