'Some people fake their deaths; I'm faking life' (spoilers)

Loved this quote in the film and it really helps sum up the old man's story and main character well.

When I first watched the film I must admit I was confused but once all the pieces slid together the film is pretty amazing.

The general tone and main character complimented each other well and really showed how depression can be experienced by some people (obviously different depending on the person).

Lol, I thought it was a terrible pickup line. "Look at me, I'm all ennui and *beep* aren't I cool?" And then the girl responds with, "I would really love to suck your cock." (I'm not even paraphrasing!). Just another example of the head trip this movie is.

I too felt like that pickup line was fairly corny and obvious. It reminded me of stuff that I would have said at age 18. Still charming, though. I don't think Lucy said she wanted to blow the guy because of his awesome come-on; it was more of a right place/right time synchronicity.

It was a very cheesey line, but the guy just seemed so pathetic that there was something very earnest about it. I didn't like the dialogue, but the delivery sold it. Now that's good film making.
