In the first footage of Banksy on the rooftop in L.A. he is wearing a wedding ring, though from what i can see he doesn't wear it any other time,
Is the illusive artist playing another subtle trick ?
I also noticed it. Real working artists don't wear jewelry on their hands, as paint and solvent wreck both hands and rings. So it seemed odd.
It also, along with the delivery and body language, made me think that the "Banksy" we were seeing onscreen was actually narrator Rhys Ifans http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0406975/. Probably wrong, and sometimes a ring is just a ring, but the cadence and hand gestures made me think of Ifans onscreen in 'Greenberg', 'Notting Hill', 'Enduring Love', etc.
He may have took it off in some scenes not to get it messed up while working.
