Doesn't seem like a hoax to me

The thing that makes me think that this isn't a hoax is that all the important variables are out of the control of the alleged perpetrators. The LA Weekly piece, the massive response to the piece, and people allowing preconceived notions of the quality of MBW's "artwork" to cloud their judgement. I understand that it's possible that all these could happen as evidence by the fact that they did (whether the result of (un)fortunate set of circumstances or a hoax) but to leave so many things to chance at the end of what would be a very well conceived, well-executed hoax doesn't make sense. If the L.A. Weekly doesn't jump all over it the way they did, all the work they did would have been for naught. Seems they could come up with a hoax that they have more control over to get their point across.
