TNT knows this which is why they played it in the afternoon on Sunday, December 22nd. (I expected them to show Catch Me If You Can immediately after that, but no dice).
Happy Holidays Larry Crowne fans, everywhere!
Carl? Carl! Merry Christmas! How is it we're always talking on Christmas, Carl? Every Christmas, I'm talking to you!
You can say that again! I can't read that without hearing Larry's pronunciation . When I started this thread, little did I know TBS was going to keep playing this film on or near major holidays.
Happy Friday the 13th! 🐈 (that cat used to be black which was more appropriate regarding the subject of superstitions ;). It's nice of MoreMax to show Larry Crowne in honor of this day
On sort of another note, it amuses me that ThrillerMax is also showing the Crowne this month. Was there a thriller version of Crowne? (checking youtube)
happy saturday the 14th!...sorry for the tardy reply i just got a email notice. yes, that is great of moremax. anytime there is a larry crowne showing that's a good thing. and i too am curious about this thriller version. maybe it's a different director's cut? more scenes of the scooter gang & their shenanigans?
No doubt the scooter gang is more prominently displayed ...also, Matsutani's laugh, the people "Mercy" peers at through her peep hole, moments she flips out on her class...
Happy Thursday . Larry Crowne will be on HBO tomorrow morning. Tomorrow is Orthodox Good Friday, aka Spectacular Friday. Behind Enemy Lines is on after Larry. I haven't seen it.
I don't get any of the other HBO channels anymore. Now I realize how much HBO sucks and how much I relied on the other HBO channels. Too often HBO has talk shows, documentaries, etc. It's surprising when they're showing movies I'm interested in.
On the bright side I now have a couple more channels that show classic films and a few extra stations that have classic TV shows. I don't have time for all of them
At least!! But just my luck the cable kept going out during Crowne. It's usually been more reliable than that lately.
So now all of a sudden I have Cinemax (maybe a limited time thing?). I never know what I'm getting these days with Time Warner. It's slim pickins so far with Cinemax. It's a mixture of movies I've seen or don't want to see.
If I'm lucky Showtime, The Movie Channel and Starz-designated channels will start working, too.
talia was on the charlie rose show to promote her new movie about nfl concussions....charlie didn't ask her one question about 'larry crowne'....amazing. i'm not sure he should still host a show if he's that clueless.
Looks muy Bueno (my screen insists on capitalizing the 'B')...and of course now I want shrimp. Is mojo a somewhat commonly used cooking word?
"Anyway, like I was sayin', shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. Dey's uh, shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich. That- that's about it." - Bubba Blue, aka Ellstin Limehouse
Feliz Siete de Mayo! I almost did, I decided to be in a fog instead. Maybe this weekend I'll fire that bad boy up. How about you? Did you have another helping of the Crowne?
