The interstitial music sounds the same as that on the Doc Martin series. Maybe it's a requirement for shows in/from England.

Yeah, funny! I'm watching the first season episodes for the first time tonight, and the "Doc Martin" music connection struck me right away. I wonder if they are aware of it

I'm rewatching season 2 right now and never noticed the similarity to Doc Martin's interstitial music until I saw your post. Great observation! Spot on.
