After Pixar’s Elemental was screened at Cannes, reviews for the movie started to be available to the public. Though Elemental did receive a five-minute standing ovation after its Cannes screening, the Elemental reviews have been decidedly mixed so far. The London Evening Standard’s review of the movie says it “doesn’t cut the mustard,” while Paste Magazine’s review says that, “Elemental manages to build its own path… and [has] subtle yet spectacular character animation.” It appears that Elemental might be one of Pixar’s more divisive films as the reviews continue to pour in.
