I love Mona and am so happy to see her again in this episode. But why was trying to make with Jenna? I get she wants the girls safe and believes Jenna is tormenting them, but the fact we never saw her again after was a little shady.
Mona is basically my favorite character. She's smarter than everyone else and her character always has substance. She's been around the show for 7 years and she's still mysterious. I like that she's sketchy and you never quite know when to trust her. I feel like her character has never been ruined.
I felt like they were laying on the shade pretty thick this epi - with the Jenna elevator convo but also at the cabin thing where Hanna had Noel. She is the one who told to leave the cabin and go tell people she wasn't missing.
Then she said not to worry, she had things covered on her end...meaning "yes, Hanna don't worry about Noel - I got this."
So I blame Mona for Noel escaping - like how are you going to leave him unattended without super securing him!?
And someone pointed out that her teamwork with Caleb kind of reminds me of the A scenes where A was with Red Coat (granted that was Cece and Sara, presumably) but still...they worked well together, which if AD is a team would be required. And once they realized Sydney was there to trick them, they (or just Mona if she's AD) could have headed to the school for blind, shot Spencer and grabbed Jenna.
OK, so you're probably going, "Is this like a Noxzema commercial or what?"
Knowing Marlene, knowing us, knowing how much we love the reveal of Mona as the original A, she will try to recapture some of that glory.
I really don't know but I could see her doing that. Mona will be AD if Marlene keeps up her normal selfish attitude towards the show. But once again I really don't know and I'm excited to see how it all plays out.
