Rank PLL parents: from best to worst.

Best dad: Wayne fields
worst dad: tie between peter Hastings and Hanna's dad whose name I can't remember. Peter financially supports his children but he coddled Melissa to the point of creating one child who has zero moral compass and he abandoned Spencer. So much emotional abuse. Hanna's dad can only be a parent if he's a husband or lover. He barks orders and doesn't care about anyone but himself.

best mom: Pam Fields. She was in tricky territory at first but she's protective of Emily without coddling her kid or making her life worse by acting like a 16 year old ie Hanna's mom.
Worst mom: Jessica DiLaurentis. My signature explains it all.

Best Mum: Ashley Marin
Worst Mum: Ella Mongomery

There's no contest... Mr. and Mrs Fields were the only parents on the show.

You can't even consider calling the others parental figures.. just older roommates.

Best Dad: They are all pretty bad apart from Wayne Fields.
Worse Dad: Kenneth Dilaurentis

Best Mum: Ashley Marin
Worse Mum: Hmm. Maybe Jessica but we will have to see. I dont think she was that bad honestly towards her kids. But the stuff we will find out and how she treated Mary, she will become the worse. Well she did bury Alison alive.

So Jessica.

Best Dad: Wayne Fields...no contest

Worst Dad: Tom Marin, I think that's his name. Hanna's dad...he sucked big time. At the very least Kenneth loved Alison...I'm not so sure about Hanna's dad really loving her. I mean he picked his step-daughter over Hanna multiple times.


Best Mom: Pam Fields...she's the only parent that made mistakes and then actively went about changing her bad behavior to be a better parent. As far as I'm concerned the best parents on here were the Fields.


Worst Mom: Jessica DiLarentis is a given...she's in a category all her own for sucking, so my nod would be for Ashley Marin. Throughout the show Ashley gave Hanna a blueprint on how to make terrible decision after terrible decision. It's no wonder we have the Hanna we have now because both of her parents were just...smh, they weren't good.

Peace, Love, and Soul 

Best parents: The Fields. Wayne always stood by his daughter, even when he struggled to understand her. He gave her structure but even when he was strict, he was fair. Pam didn't start out too well but she actually realized that she made mistakes and learned from them. Can you imagine Pam from season 7 meeting Pam from season 1?
Worst Dad: I want to say Peter Hastings but he's just a bad person in general it seems. Same goes for Ken, he just seems cold and unpleasant towards everyone. The person that does exclusively worst at the parenting role is Tom Marin. He uses and abuses his family as he sees fit, running back and forth, using economic manipulation and the list just goes on.
Worst Mom: A mix between Veronica and Ashley. Veronica keeps too many things away from Spencer and coddles Melissa. And Ashley treats Hanna more like a friend than a daughter. Sometimes parents need to step in more and give their kids some structure instead of trying to be their best friend.

Why do you think Mary is the worst? Her whole life was twisted by Jessica, she had no idea Charlotte was alive and Spencer was happy with her family (Plus she didn't want to come back when Jessica was there)

Best Dad: Probably Emilys dad, though he was dull and boooooring
Worst Dad: I know people are saying kenneth, like he abandoned charles and then just left Ali/Jason but I think he's on the same level as Hannas dad, who was just a complete ass after he found a new woman.

Best mom: Definitely Ashley
Worst mom: Have to go with Jessica, just pure toxic.
