Wow
I forgot how great the first 2 sessions were. I've binged watched the first 2 session
shareIt was so great because I could suspend disbelief for those storylines and they had enough mystery scenes while creating characters we enjoyed. Now we don't get any answers, friendship scenes, or anything the least bit scary. I loved seeing the PLLs and their parents, the high school setting, and the old A texts.
"When life gives you lemons"
Jessica D: sleep with their fathers and have secret lemon children
It was more than just about A. Plus A (Mona) made things happen. For example, Emily and the hgh cream.
shareAgreed, the first two seasons are just so enjoyable to watch.
shareJust started watching PLL on Netflix..just finished season 2..love it!!
shareI wish it could have been just as good. This show could have been amazing!!
shareI'm pretty convinced that the big factor that changed (aside from just the quality of writing as a whole) was the focus in 'maturity'. not even in terms of content, so much as the exploraiton of the show.
season 2 and 2 were about childhood. they were about dealing with the demons of yesteryear and using them as a reason to grow into the adult you needed to be.
season 3 had a littttle bit of that but it was largely transitional. by season 4 the echoes of the past had been more or less dropped, and focused more on the future, which may seem like the next logical step but it was boring.
intentional or not, the themes explored in season 1/2 were far greater than 3 onward.
*when life gives you lemons*
Sara: are you a sour lemon?
For a lot of us fans, they are. I felt season 3 has it moments while season 4 was kinda start of the decline.
🚗💨 We can't stop here...This is bat country!
