It was so sad. You can see she genuinely loved her job and will miss it and didn't want it to end.
shareNow if only girlfriend could pour some of that emotion into her acting....
shareCynically I thought the same at first. But it helps to have some type of personal experience when acting that actors can use to help them. I have a feeling this is the first time Shay's had that dramatic of a goodbye. Maybe it will help her in the future...if she ever gets another job.
Peace, Love, and Soul
I think she already has one but I could be wrong. She posted what looked to be a script of some sort. But I only got a quick glance so I really don't know.
shareShe did. She got cast as the lead in Cadaver. Production has already started I believe or will start really soon. It's a horror film where she will play an ex cop, recovering addict working at a morgue.
shareI'm probably a horrible person for asking this, but how the heck did she get casted? There must've been better actresses at the audition.
shareIt isn't horrible in my opinion to ask how someone got casted. This is also my opinion so take of it what you will, but I believe she was casted for her looks. I'm not saying she couldn't get better with experience as well as some acting classes, but it feels to me her looks got her that job. That whole thing with what IMK said about the whole "Gay for Shay" and how no one couldn't be gay for her because she was so beautiful got me thinking that her casting had more to do with how she looks a lot more than I did before.
She either has no communication with her emotions as Emily or she overshoots whatever emotion she was trying for. There could be another reason for it, but that's just my take on it. I think she hit at least one scene on the head and sad to say, but it was definitely her scene after finding out that Maya was killed. That seemed a little more of a genuine touch with her feelings. Shay seems to beam confidence and it could be something that made the casting director and company look at her a little more.

I have been going through a rewatch on Netflix month by month, a season per month and it really does seem that way the more and more I watch it. I'm only on S2, but her angles are crafted to what may be a good angle for her and her hair a specific way that attributes to the shape of her face as well as how it falls. When they get a tried and true formula, they tend to stick with it and to be completely honest, it is still happening, but it's been seven years and it is best not to change all that work.
shareI laughed harder at this than I probably should've...
shareI cried im going to miss it too

she can always get better at Acting.
im thinking of re-enacting this but changing the terminology to be about the board instead of the show.
maybe throw in some 'ayygs' and do it with more blank expressiosn tho

Sara: are you a sour lemon?
Honestly she seems so fake to me. I hate to be that cynical ass person but she seems so like "I know the show is over but pleeeeaseee still follow meee! I need fans to keep making money!"
sharereally? she seemed pretty upset... god knows she can't act this well, so it felt real.
unless this was her long con all along. shes currently worth 2 million though. sure more money is always good but most people at her level are investing that dosh.

I thought it was fake in the sense that if you notice when she stumbles on her words she "cries" harder as if to cover her fumble. But I do think she's emotional about it. They all seem to be.
shareI just watched it, and to be honest, even though she was clearly very emotional about it, I didn't shed one tear. There was all these comments at the bottom like 'oh my god, I couldn't finish it, I am broken. In tears.' But I was just stoney-faced. I mean, I got the sadness and it was all a bit 'awww' but I wasn't on the verge of tears or anything.
