I really want her to end up being AD, but even if she's not, the best possible ending for this show would be her actual death, especially if she sacrifices herself to save the Liars. Marlene keeps talking about full circle, and this would make it happen more than anything else.
shareI agree. It would bring the show to a whole circle and instead of spending the last episode just catering to the shippers they could show us the Liars getting over Alison in a meaningful way. That is something I miss about the first season of the show; the girls reminiscing about Alison, trying to come in terms with what happened and the good and the bad that was Alison DiLaurentis.
It would also make up for the showrunners chickening out with Mona.

She won't. Sasha is in the show's final scene with her new haircut so it's no flashback.
I wouldn't be so quick to assume. That's most likely the case, but there could always be more to the final scene than we think. I'm not ruling out Ali's death based on that picture.
