Alison during the time jump...

I'll preface this by saying that I'm one of the biggest Alison is A theorists out there, so that might be coloring my view on this, but I'm curious to see what you guys think of this little line that I noticed while re-watching 6x11.

When talking to the girls, Ali makes it sound like she's been spending the last five years learning to forgive Charlotte, watching her go through treatment, recover, and become a better person, and that their relationship has developed over time. That has always made sense, since she so clearly wanted a fresh start at having a family.

But during a re-watch, I took notice of a line during the scene between Hanna and Ashley that I never really paid attention to before. Ashley says of Alison, "She's been petitioning the court to get Charlotte out of the hospital since the day she was locked up."

Um, what? Maybe it's my bias talking, but doesn't this change everything? Why would Alison want Charlotte released back into the world as soon as she was sentenced to treatment? Was she so desperate for a sister that she was willing to not only put her friends and the entire town in danger, but take away Charlotte's chances of recovering and developing a healthy mental state as well? The only explanation for this that I can think of, beside Alison being just unspeakably selfish, is that she wanted Charlotte released so badly because she was on her side the whole time.

Sorry for the ramble, but this really stuck out to me, and I'm wondering if I'm crazy or if this is strange to others as well.

I think in a way Charlotte was the only family Alison had left. The girls had left for college, her mum was dead, her dad took off and Jason was never around.

She most likely felt lonely and felt guilty about what happened to Charlotte.

I don't believe Alison is A - if they wanted Alison to be A it would have been done back in season 5 or 6 and judging from a lot of the behind the scene pictures and videos from the filming of the very last episode, Emison fans are going to be very satisfied with the finale.

I have a feeling the current A is male. So my bets on Lucas, Wren or even Jason being A.

That's the impression they've given us, likely to make us feel some sympathy for Ali - she took Charlotte's side because she wanted a family.

But are we supposed to believe that she was so desperate for one to put it above everything, including her own safety and Charlotte's well-being? She didn't seem overly forgiving in 6x10 ("you can't lock people up and play with them like they're your dolls") but as soon as that's over she immediately puts all bygones aside? It's just odd, I think.

This A does seem more like a man, but it's already been confirmed that Wren has a final big twist in the finale and I doubt they'd say that if he's A.D., and I can't see a good motive for either Jason or Lucas, whereas with Alison it's staring us right in the face!

I don't have any facts to back up my opinion, but I completely agree...that Ali is A. She's cray-cray
Always was. Now they try to gain sympathy from the viewers. I'd die laughing if this was Alison, and everyone is her alternate personality lol
