Who was treated wrongly by Rosewood in their teen years? Jason 2.0/Toby
Both of these characters were wrongly treated by Rosewood civilians in their teen years, but who had it the worse?
Toby or Jason 2.0

Toby
shareI mean, Jason wasn't really mistreated by anyone but his own family. So Toby.
shareToby had it worse by other people. Jason's biggest enemy was himself. Though in season 2 when he thought he might have killed Ali, I'm sure the guilt was comparable to what Toby has been through.
shareDefinitely Toby. Jason was considered rebellious and a bit odd, but unlike Toby, he was never actually bullied.
shareSure, Toby was probably always considered a weird kid, but in what way was he treated "wrongly" by the people of Rosewood? And I mean before he had to take the fall for Jenna's blinding, since after that incident it's no wonder that people didn't think fondly of him...

People might be referring to the whole Jenna and Toby "relationship". I deleted my other response because the show never really went into it and i rather not start any arguments with people on here. Here is a revised version Jenna blackmailed/( better word might be sexual coercion) Toby into have a relationship with her. I don't remember if it was consensual in the beginning but she was blackmailing him at the end. The show kind of glossed over it but that storyline will forever be sad to me. We never (i don't think we did?) found how long that situation was going on. It could have been going on for years/ever since their parents got married. It's awful to think about.
Spoiler for the books.
The same thing happened in the books but Toby was the predator. Quick question to people who have read it; do you think that flowed better in the books or the show? I liked the "twist" where Jenna actually knew and kind of helped to set the explosion.
Jenna sure treated him wrongly, that I can agree with, but I think she's the only one. The rest of town didn't do anything to him as far as I can remember, not before they thought that he blinded her.
I prefer the books version, the twist with Jenna actually being a part of the plot to get Toby sent away was interesting, and the fact that she and "Ali" were friends. I don't think it would've worked in the show though, considering how different both Jenna and Toby are in the books.
