Annoyance with the moms and the basement

This is going to seem petty but am I the only person(yeah I know how predictable because one person is never the only person) who gets annoyed by every interviewer making a point about the writers not showing the moms getting out of the basement? Yeah I know we didn't get to see it but of all the things to bring up about unanswered questions or scenes that should've been in the show and everyone thinks of the moms in the BASEMENT. This infuriates me to no end. What about discussing Eddie Lamb disappearing without a trace? The inconsistent flashbacks? Ian committing suicide or Garrett pretending to kill Ali in front of Jenna for no reason? ETC. Rant over.

ditto. dont get me wrong it was really funny when it first happened, but it got old fast. eddie lambs disappearance bugs me, but the whole ian suicide thing bugs me even more, just because of how insulting it was as a set up

Yeah!! They know how to run a good thing into the ground that's for sure. The Ian suicide really hurt frustrates me. It's so untrue to the character and utterly ridiculous. It would never happen.

Not to mention that the basement escape can be solved in any number of ways. They could have:
a) Broken down the door (I don't see any of those women doing that but you never know what desperation might do to a person).
b) Picked the lock.
c) Waited for someone to show up (was Ashley still dating the pastor? did Mike know where his mom was? Could Toby have finally done some police work and saved the moms? Did whoever locked them down there let them out again?)
d) Any other logical way. There are numerous ways to escape from a bloody basement.
Making this into a essential issue when there are much bigger issues out there such as Eddie Lamb, Ian's suicide (which makes no sense whatsoever) etc. is just blowing smoke in the eyes of the viewers.

I find this really annoying also because there are so many plausible explanations. People really don't use their imaginations anymore and need to have everything spelled out for them.

I always assumed they used the door to get out.
