Who else misses the innocent part of PLL?

Does anyone else miss the innocent part of PLL ala season 1? I mean I miss the days where Alison was our biggest suspect for the original "A"

Haha kidding. Mostly. ;) Yes, I totally agree. As much as I love how dark the show has gotten recently, I really miss the lighter moments, especially between the Liars. There hasn't been a heavy focus on their friendship in forever and it was one of my favorite parts of the show. I love the mystery, but I also miss scenes like the one in 3x07 of Spencer and Aria lying on Spencer's bed and just telling stories and laughing.

thats basically how i describe the difference between the Mona arc and the CeCe arc. Mona's arc was about innocence, and how ht eliars were slowly losing it as they began to grow up.

than in season 3 they decided to 'go darker' and treated the girls like they were adults.

in season 2 the biggest deal was parents saying they weren't allowed to hang out anymore, and how the liars actually united further over this plan to separate them.

by season 5 it had literally become about how *beep* your boyfriend can make you feel less guilty about killing someone.

I mostly miss the innocence that was shown in the friendship between the liars.

For sure. I loved how Mona tortured them over their secrets instead of just trying to frame them for random sh!t.
