Well, she doesn't, does she? Not really. Now her parents are happy again she has no other drama besides A going on. Everything with Aria in the show was cantered around her relationship with Ezra, or how her connection with Ezra was affecting any new relationships she tried to have.

Aria technically has a life outside of Ezra because it's a tv show but realistically all of her friends would've dropped her for being a self obsessed brat around season 3. I knew a few people like Aria in HS and they ended up being friendless for periods of time because they didn't bother to do anything outside of communicating with their boyfriends. Ezra isn't really his own character IMO it just doesn't bother people because he's a supporting character. Aria is pure wish fulfillment. She goes through traumatic situations with men fawning all over her and picking up random hobbies that she just happens to excel at with no effort and none of her friends confront her over her lack of interest in the mystery. Ezra doesn't actually have any friends or hobbies other than writing creepy books about Aria and Alison. Aria could have an amazing life outside of Ezra but she chooses not to.

Yes, exactly. I agree completely. And Aria's friends should have not accommodated her and encouraged her idiotic course of action. You would think that Spencer, the voice of reason, would have been more vocal about it. But she didn't exactly make wise decisions when it came to getting involved with older guys either.

And when they DID rightfully express concern or tell her the truth about how it was foolish - like when Hanna tried to dissuade Aria from going on a public date with Ezra and how the relationship was a bad idea (albeit, being pressured from A's blackmail) - Aria would lose her mind and react so defensively.

Aria was not mature for her age. She was not mature at all. Anytime someone would speak against their relationship, even Ezra, she just snapped and couldn't handle it.

I think Ezra's always been Aria's constant; even when her family was falling apart and her and the others were being tormented by A, he was the one that was like a beacon of hope to her (before we found out he knew more about the girls and that whole book thing). That's why she's always clung to him regardless of what her friends said about him.

And yes, it was a little creepy that Ezra was never shown to have any friends, except for the one college friend that Aria met at the bar. Although, it is true that some people are just loners, and if they are in a relationship then their partner becomes their best friend. But I have to be honest, I would be wary of entering a relationship with a man who had no close friendships.

Hardy, Curtis (mentioned in an ep), another friend he went and stayed with in S3 when he found out of Malcolm. Then in 6B he said he bunked with a friend to finish his writing. Caleb. Toby.

PLL not showing Ezra's friends, doesn't mean he doesn't have friends. Do y'all really wanna see a storyline of Ezra and his friends?

That's not true, there has actually been several mentions of different friends. But there's no point in showing a story line of Ezra's friends. Same way Caleb has no one outside of the main characters.

Hey OP I definitely think that is a great question for you to email the dimwit person who writes for Aria's character. I hate she broke things off w/that guy she worked w/b/c the minute she saw Ezra it seemed her whole life revolved around Ezra again. But w/Ezra he just was going on w/his life w/o Aria. I mean I do think when Ezra/Aria were together they did love each other but then things changed and they went their separate ways. I think if Jason is NOT involved in all this "creepy crap" I would LOVE for Aria & Jason to start dating b/c we all know they "hooked up" - damn Jason looked so fine in those forward-flashbacks w/him and Aria; also, Jason seemed to really be into Aria a lot, that's who she should end up with, I just hope Jason is NOT a part of all this "A" & "AD" mess.

Jason is not who she should "end up with" because she very clearly doesn't love him. As you said "Jason seemed to really be into Aria". It's completely one sided. She showed no interest in being in a relationship with him when they were briefly seeing each other, and shows no interest now.
