Anyone else find it sad that Jessica never got to reunite with Ali?

Anyone else felt the most sad for Alison when Mrs. D was killed? I mean Jessica died knowing that her daughter was still dead.

Jessica knew Alison was alive, well she had hints Alison was alive.

In season 7 the girls including Alison find out that Jessica was looking for Alison while she "dead"

They find her lair in Alison's aunts basement

It has always bugged me that we never got a scene between them where Ali confronted her mother over what she did.
