Titled "Shades of Shay" looks like it's only available on a Video on Demand platform.

Not sure if it will draw viewers but not necessarily a terrible choice on her end.

Smart business move and judging by her vids on Youtube, she was going this route.

My only thing would be whether going with VoD was smart but she likely didn't have a lot of network choices. Other than that I think it was a good call. She clearly loves doing her YouTube vids and taking it even further will probably be a good window for spokesman deals or hosting gigs.

That's true, but I'm thinking she probably got a set amount in her contract for how ever many episodes. She has a built in fanbase that she can bring to that and if the numbers are good, could lead to other opportunities to keep getting paid.

I'm not sure she's getting a lot of acting roles right now so this was a good move. Who am I kidding Shay will always be in something because of her looks honestly.

>shades of shay

the memes are just writing themselves i see.

at first glance i thought she was doing it herself. you can pay to put whatever you want on VOD or hulu (im planning to put my new web series up there)but it looks lke freeform is supporting this in some way?

the fullscreen app seems crazy. 72 bucks a year is a bit much. sure netflix charges more but they kinda had a reputation from the very beginning.

looks kinda like a netflix rip off, jusdt another subscription based service for content, even some of the netflix options are there, but their focus on originals seems to be smaller budget stuff, lots of youtube and internet celebrities.

interesting to see where this goes.

Good for her. I could always see her as a reality star.
