OT: RENT live

has anyone seen this live? its actually a lot better than the movie oddly enough, the structure / timeline makes more sense in the musical. the only bad part is the guy who plays roger was god awful. he managed to pull off 'one song glory' thankfully, but everything else he did made me cringe. thankfully a lot of his songs are harmonizing with other people and that tends to balance out.

the rest of the cast was amazing though. it was more like being at a concert the way everyone has to give massive applause after every single song, lots of cheering and woot woots and such. great experience. I live just a block away from the pantages theater so think im going to make it a habit to go there more often, this was only the second time id seen a live theater show that wasn't horribly indie (and i do mean HORRIBLY indie)
