OT: How to kill people and not get caught

anyone tune into the premiere last week? pretty great episode, better than most of their premieres. the flashbacks were nice but i kidna wish they had just had those actual scenes this last season. was beautiful though.

connor is gonna sell the gang out at some point. i love how the show has such a weird dynamic with its characters. PLL they are all just kinda equally balanced and dont hold grudges more than five minutes. Like ALL the girls and the GUYS should hate ezra for the whole book spying thing yet they somehow included him in the naked underwear hijinks. I think spencer disliked him for like five minutes but that was it. lame.

in this show connor and michaela are close for no real reason, they just bonded naturally, Asher was randomly left out of the first murder, and the whole dynamic and shifting relationships is just great.

idk how the show is gonna go on without wes

I watched. Excellent episode.

The more I watched the angrier I became because of what happened to my manWes

This episode also confirmed my dislike for Connor and a part of me wished it was him, honestly.

Great acting all around. Oliver is a cinnamon roll who deserves better.

Read a theory Someone out there believes that the body is a fake. And that Nate and Wes have been working together since the end of last season. They believe Wes is in hiding and they are paying off the coroner to flow with their plan. There is a small part of me that's holding on to this hope lol

im hoping not just because of how out there these sorts of plans tend to be, and im also super confused as to how this plan would accomplish anything, unless the plan of course IS to get annalise in jail but there seems to be like 50 easier ways to do that at this point, he could have literally just signed the immunity deal and confessed to everything.

Connor is a gloriously bad person, when he first appeared he was my favorite, but they quickly turned what i loved about him into glaring flaws, and then made him the least loyal person in the world, which i can totally understand, but its hard to not want to punch him in his beautiful face. i dont mind when a charactesr a bad person as long as its well done, and here i think it is and plays well into his homosexuality even if that may seem stereotyping, i think its a strong trend to play to, and a fun one. but i just hate him being with olliver. its almost as if olliver is a main character and connor's just the sattelite to bounce off of.

he really is a cinnamon roll, too good for this world, too pure.

my hope is that htis show can wrap up its major plot points this season even if it gets renewed becuase frankly without wes its going to sink fast. Annalise carries the show now, but without Wes giving her a reason to its gonna get old fast, and this show doesn't need more seasons. it was already kinda weak with Wes being such a non character this season.

we shall see what happens.

Agree with both of you! Wes was the center of everything. He was presented as the main character in the pilot. So it's weird for him to be gone. I loved him.

I never get the love for Wes. He's the reason why the Keating 5 is in deep *beep* He's also doesn't let things go. Asher is my favorite out of the five. I used ship Connor and Oliver but now their relationship is toxic, Oliver deserves better.

reply

>hes the reason why the keating 5 is in deep *beep*

but thats WHY we love Wes. he is integral to everything in this show being tied together, he pushes the show forward, and without that its just about a (very talentedly acted) drunk lawyer.

hes the puppy. he does things because he thinks its right, and that jsut gets him deeper down the rabbit hole.

Okay, Wes is great for plot development but as for characterization he's poor.

reply

characterization he may not be as fun as the ohters who just bounce off the walls with crazy, sure, but basic characterization hes still good (at least til season 3). he was 'the puppy'. he was our naive proxy that just wanted to do the right thing and find his place in the world.

I get that but I was never a fan of his.

reply

thats understandable, he doesn't have to be for everyone. i just love adorably naive people having their innocence slowly chipped away.

He may have gotten them in the situation but it wasn't all his fault. This is my biggest issue with Connor. The entire third season he's been acting like a whiny bitch and blaming everything on Annaliese and Wes. He had a choice and he still has a choice...he could've been gone to the police but nope, he stuck it out like the rest of em.

And I get they need something and someone to blame but please take some responsibility in it as well.

i mean they all know its frank and sams fault really, blaming Wes is only because hes there.

its whiny as hell but its great for connors character and i await the day he inevitably sells out the gang cuz it looks like thats about to happen. he seems the most unhinged from the get go.

gonna be sad without Wes. i think im a little biased cuz he looks my ex, but god damn hes a cutie.
