Bell pulled it out of the carry-bag and gave it to the hotel guy (Father Cassidy?) - or at least that's what I think I saw

So how would Ed Harris still have it in his pocket later? What did Bell have in the bag?

Yes, Bell took it off Harris. He then put it in a bag and gave it to the concierge (his dad) who took it out of the bag and gave it to Worthington when he ran into him in the kitchen. Later on the roof Harris took it back off Worthington.

Guess you must've missed a big chunk of the ending not to know this.
