Did Freddie intend to kill the villager?

The villager who Freddie said looked like his alcoholic father. Do you think he intended to hurt him or possibly even kill him by giving him more of his concoction? I'm speaking about at that time, because I remember there's a later scene in the film where he expressed regret and wishes he didn't kill him.

The man is a field worker. Freddie was geuinely affectionate toward him. He didn't try to kill him.
Everone was drinking Freddie's concoction.
Freddie kept trying to tell the women to give the old man water, (to flush his kidneys), but they wouldn't listen and were out for blood.
He only thought he might have killed the man. He didn't know anything.

I'm not sure. He definitely told him to drink it in one gulp and said he reminded him of his father...

Exactly, Freddie obviously has parent issues and hence him pushing the alcohol onto an old man that only looks like his father; I don't believe Freddie would intend to kill the man when sober, but I think in his drunken state he intended to hurt the villager, simply based on the fact that he looked like his dad. Repressed memories, etc.

The ambiguity of it all, it keeps bringing me back to PTA movies.
