Explain something to me please
This was shot mainly in 65mm, which has a native aspect ratio of 2.20:1, so how did they get the 1.85:1 image? Was it cropped in post or hard matted or what?
shareIt was cropped to 1.85:1. Anderson shot some of the scenes in 35mm so he wanted the resolution to match. Personally, I feel he cheated himself and us for not seeing it fully in its 2.20:1 frame.
