The deleted scenes were better than most of the scenes in the film and tied the plot together better.
PTA's omission of some of these scenes is just nonplussing; a lot of them are top notch.
I realize a lot of them are conveying what's already been established to a degree, but I feel like it's just PTA trying to avoid another long-winded Magnolia and accidentally trimming too much of the fat in the film.
I, for one, would've been fine if this film was 3 hours.
Possibly... I know PTA has stated(Although I don't know how true it was) that he'd cut 'Magnolia' WAY DOWN lol. Personally, I disagree and love the 3hr+ length and could have been fine with it here. Im just not sure if it's warranted with 'The Master.' TWBB was what, 2 hours and 40 minutes or so, so I don't think length would be a serious issue. But who knows... I just like some of the ambiguities in the final product and Idk if I'd need it to be tied together anymore than it is... Just my take
