Lyrics to 'Go no more a roving'?

Does anybody know the lyrics to the song Lancaster Dodd sings at the dinner party?
I've figured out most of it but I can't tell what he says in the very last verse

I'll go no more a roving
with you, fair maid,
A-roving, a-roving,
since roving's been my ru-i-n,
I'll go no more a-roving
with you, fair maid

Her eyes are blue, her cheeks are red,
Mark well what I do say;
Her eyes are blue, her cheeks are red,
A wealth of hair is on her head,

I'll go no more a roving
with you, fair maid,
A-roving, a-roving,
a roving's been my ru-i-n,
I'll go no more a-roving
with you, fair maid

I put my arm around her waist,
Mark well what I do say;
I put my arm around her waist,
She said "Young man, you're in some haste."

I put that girl upon my knee,
mark well what I do say,
I put that girl upon my knee,
She said "Young man, you're rather free."

She swore that she'd be good to me,
Mark well what I do say,
She swore that she'd be good to me,
she spent my money fast and free

???????

It's driving me crazy, can anybody figure out what he's saying?

Have you got the DVD? If you have, the hard-of-hearing subtitles will probably have all the lyrics. Worth a try.

Ahh yes, somehow the most simple solution eluded me. Thanks

The sailor was a captain
he was a mighty dog
Served out to all the company
a double sheriff's grog

A double sheriff's grog doesn't make much sense. I think the subtitler's misheard it and it should be "a double share of grog". See the second verse of this sea shanty...

Quite an apt song considering Dodd and Freddie's love of booze and women! Great scene, there's such joy in PSH's performance.

I thought Dodd was improvising part of it.

"a malcontent who knows how to spell"

We used to sing this in school, I believe it was a sailor's song, when we sang it the first verse was this:

In Amsterdam there lived a maid
mark well what I do say
in Amsterdam there lived a maid
and she was mistress of her trade

I'll go no more a roving with you fair maid
A roving a roving since roving's been my ru-i-in
I'll go no more a roving with you fair maid.
