Unnecessary death storyline
Did anyone else think that her death was unnecessary?

Not I. Taken out of rehab too early because of her ambitious husband, deprived of said husband's love and driven by him to return to Dallas, the pressure on her increased to the point that she couldn't take it anymore, even after the crowd's tremendous reception of her final performance.

yeah I was shocked but I don't think it was unnecessary. It made sense for the character. I think the marketing just made this look like a comeback movie, but really it follows her demise.
shareWatching it a second time, it was easy to catch the clues as to where the story was going.
