Music in Country Strong is so well done

The Music in Country Strong was performed so beautifully, anyone else see the film? I was just listening to some of the soundtrack on the FB page. Here's "Coming Home," one of the many great songs in the film!

I'm not a huge country music fan. I like some songs here and there and I enjoyed the music in the movie.

I am from the Bronx, NY and believe me no one listens to country here. But I loved the music in the movie. I love the way country in general is so down to earth and tells stories from the heart. I found the movie to be really well made as well as the music like you said. Its sad that the movie was not too uplifting and that's why I really think it didn't do so well...
At least the music brings my spirits up...lol

Not a country music fan at all, but I loved the music in this movie including the Tim McGraw/Gwyneth Paltrow song during the credits.

All the music in the film was great! The only disappointment is that there is only one Leighton Meester song on the soundtrack. The credits listed 38 songs and if they could put all of them on a soundtrack, I'd buy it, no matter what the price.

Really? She has a bunch in the movie. That's really surprising that they only put 1 on the soundtrack.

After I posted that, I found out they put out an additional soundtrack with more songs and they put 3 more of her songs on it. Awesome!

reply

I know!! The soundtrack was the reason I wanted to see this movie in the first place, and I'm glad I did coz I really enjoyed it <3

The soundtrack is great. "me and tennessee" is my fav. Used in end titles.

Music and country in the same sentence is an oxymoron.

I normally hate Country music but I found myself downloading almost every song in the movie... the music was great.

Pure country pop crap...and if if Bo was compared to Townes Van Zandt and he had so much integrity, why were his songs such commercial trash?

I'm not that proud of everything I've done, but I'm not that ashamed, either.
