When Leighton Meister (Chiles) asked Kelly, "how did you know?" while Kelly replies, "I just had a feeling." Exactly what were they talking about here? Have a feeling about love? Feeling about fame?

Feeling that the story about her parents wasn't true. I can see why you'd ask though. It wasn't terribly clear.

It was not clear at all. The reason that Kelly knew was because she herself had told lies and had to fix it, plus Chiles was too unaware of the world to have come from teachers.

Like Cisi, I think it was about her parents (when art becomes life - q.v. my other thread) but I think it was deliberately left unclear so that the audience (you) could make up your own mind whether she was talking about Beau of her parents... or something else that struck you from the movie.
