Just watched "65 Hours" and its obvious Moira was coming on to Kent. I might have this wrong but in an earlier episode didn't Kent indicate he was interested in Jane. Do they really want this show to go out starting up a love triangle?
I saw that moment as a bonding one, nothing more. I don't think Kent has an "interest" in anyone, he's just another replacement of a dead character and if he is here to "serve his purpose" as Nina, then I guess they will hook him up with Maura.
Weird coincidence...?
Nina ("replaces" Frost) - Ends up dating Frankie Kent (replaces Susie) - Ends up dating Maura...?
It would be really disappointing if Maura got paired with Kent. To start with shes his boss, really unprofessional. This show has really gone downhill. My main reason for watching this show was the interactions between the two lead women. Didn't care about the others. Now there probabley going to totally seperate them in the final show which is completely contradictory to Jane not being there in any of the photos.
I seriously was hoping that they paired the two ladies together as they have or had so much chemistry. More than any friend or best friend I've had. Who cares if they where both women. Guess that won't be happening.

personally I think it's ridiculous that some people would even want Jane & Maura to be together as a lesbian couple...so what if they have great chemistry? Just because they have good on-screen chemistry and are very close friends, does not mean the writers have to pair them up as a lesbo couple. Why can't these women just remain as 2 best friends? Even the actresses themselves think it's silly that their fans want them together as a lesbian couple. I am very close to some of my female pals, I have been very close friends with some of them since I was really young, we're almost like 'sisters' even, and I would NEVER even picture myself hooking up with any of them, we are just best friends and even sister-like, nothing more.
Seriously, I would rather want to see Maura hook up with Kent instead of turning her & Jane into a lesbian couple.

I won't blame you if you choose to abandon this R&I ship...ever since that Jan Nash took over, this show has become the boring "Rizzoli family show", the show has become so much worse than it was in the past, this ship has already been sinking for a while now and many people have already abandoned this ship for various reasons. I only watch this show for Maura/Sasha now, she is the only remaining saving grace that is still keeping this ship afloat, without her, the ship probably would've sunk to the bottom of the ocean by now.
It's "Maura". Your comments seem to ignore the fact that there were so many episodes that baited the lesbian community....gay bar, class reunion, scene with Geovanni and on and on. Then all of a sudden, nothing.
You people are bunch of children. Why can't two women be friends without being lesbian lovers? Do you realize that there are far more straight women in the world than lesbians? Sorry to burst your man bubble.
Maybe your reading comprehension isn't as good as you think.
speak for yourself, this whole making Jane & Maura a lesbian couple was NEVER going to happen, even the actresses themselves dislike the idea and think it's silly. What "baiting"? I have watched R&I since the very beginning and NEVER was I under the impression that Jane & Maura were anything more than just very close friends...has it ever crossed your mind that it's YOU shippers who have been delusional all this time?

Her reading comprehension is poor, to be sure, but she's also appointed herself Queen of the Message Board, so if you say somethin she doesn't like, she dismisses everything you say.
For the record, the show's writers have ABSOLUTELY baited the audience with lesbian teases. Only someone who isn't paying attention -- or who is homophobic -- could miss it.
I beg to differ...considering it's only the shippers who seem to think there were any so called "lesbian teases" which everyone else don't see, I'm inclined to believe the shippers are just delusional, even the actresses themselves think it's silly.
And no, I'm not a homophobic, in fact I love homosexuals, I have several friends and a relative who are gay, and I'm very supportive of the LGBT community...but I just don't like to ship 2 characters together just for the sake of it and especially when there's no indication of any lesbian relationship between them. I have been watching this show since it began and all I've ever seen between Jane and Maura are 2 bestfriends who are very close and very supportive of each other...sure sometimes they love to tease each other but I behave like that with some of my female friends too, like I said before I am very close to some of my female friends, we're even like sisters, we're very close and very supportive of each other and we tease each other all the time, but does that make us lesbians? No.
But whatever, shippers can think whatever they like...for me it's obvious it was never going to happen, nor was it ever suggested to me.
I'm really confused why people can't see Jane and Maura be a couple. It's the only way it makes sense.
First off, Jane looked at Maura longingly when she was up there singing near the beginning of this season... That's not how you look at your friend, ever. I'm sorry, there is no defense for that. Period. Second, the touching and the contact from the earlier seasons, that's too numerous to count. Third, the way they fit in so perfectly when pretending to be gay. There's a difference between being able to fake your way through something, and being perfectly comfortable with it. Forth, Jane smacked Maura on the ass. No one does this to their friend. :) Outside of football. And they were not playing football. Fifth, No one on the show actually hates the idea of them being gay. All statements have been grossly exaggerated from Angie. Her more recent interview had her say, "I like gay people. I know gay people. I know gay Republicans."
People tend to attack her more for being one of the few Republicans in Hollywood more so than anything else.
We got the admission of love on Xena one episode before the end. We have plenty of time for this show to end the same way.
The bottom line, the shippers are the people who can read the writing on the wall and say, "Xena and Gabrielle are lovers!" before we got them to confess. :) Why can't this show be the same way?
And regarding Xena, apparently, people did think that the actresses were a couple too. :) That was one of the reasons behind the "You Are There." episode's ending scene. The question left unanswered. :) Stranger things have happened, though.

Angie can say whatever she wants about gay people, so what if she supports the LGBT community? I do too, but does that mean we "need" to support Jane & Maura together as a lesbian couple? NO...even Angie Harmon herself has said in an interview a few years ago that she thinks it's silly that fans like to ship them together. Fiction is fiction and reality is reality...just because you support LGBT people in real-life does NOT necessarily mean you have to ship 2 fictional characters together just for the sake of homosexuality...especially when there has been no indication that these characters are gay on the show. It's like trying to force 2 heterosexual people to hook up together just because they have good chemistry...I have great chemistry with some of my female friends too and we are all very hetero, do you want us to turn lesbian for each other just because we're very close? Nonsense. Jane and Maura are just very close friends, why must people ship them together just because they have great chemistry? There are different kinds of chemistry, there's chemistry between family members, chemistry between lovers and chemistry between friends. Jane and Maura have great friendship chemistry, and that's all, even Angie herself has said in the past that shipping them together as a couple is silly. She may support the LGBT community in real-life, but that does not necessarily mean she would ship Jane & Maura together just for the sake of it. If 2 siblings have great chemistry together, would you want them to turn into an incest couple too? Jeez.
IMO I think you shippers are just delusional and in denial of the fact that Jane & Maura is never going to happen.
"Quite believed his own press, this one did." Death, Supernatural. Did you read anything I wrote? The reasons why they are a couple. They do things no heterosexual best friends do. Show me Hetrosexual best friends who gaze longingly at their friend who's up and singing in front of a lot of people. Show me Hetrosexual friends who smack each other on the ass outside football. Show me Hetrosexual friends who do the things Maura and Jane do since the beginning. Show me any examples, at all, and I will redact my claims. But only if you can prove it beyond the shadow of a doubt.
Common sense is not a form of denial, I can assure you of that. I find it offensive that people would violently oppose the idea of two women being a couple when that wasn't an issue for Xena and Gabrielle.
Sure, years ago, Angie said that, but that was years ago, so you can't use it, since people change over time.
Even Fred Phelps changed to like gay people before he died. You know, the man famous for hating gay people. :) "You are good people."
So, if a bigot can change, why can't you? Seriously, I see no reason why anyone can't see the signs on this show. And resorting to calling people delusional for thinking this makes your credibility drop massively. Idi Amin was a horrible person, but he wouldn't call people delusional. :)

Shippers can think whatever they like and are entitled to ship them together if they want...I personally just think it's stupid to ship these characters together just because they have great on-screen chemistry, especially when there has been NO indication that either Jane or Maura are gay, they have always appeared to be just 2 very close friends to me and that's all. If both Jane and Maura were blatantly gay and openly so, then yes maybe I would support them together as a couple, but they're not...they are both clearly straight women attracted to the opposite sex...their shippers can argue that they're just "closet gays", but then again that would just be a speculation or assumption, and not canon. Unless both Jane and Maura suddenly outright proclaim that they're gay on the show (which is highly doubtful), otherwise there's only speculations, everyone interpret things differently. IMO they are not gay, they've always appeared to be straight women to me who are just very close friends, hence why I do not support them as a couple, but I will always love the close friendship these 2 women have with each other.
Sorry if I sound harsh, of course shippers are allowed to voice their own opinions here, and I'm just voicing mine, I just think it's stupid to ship them together just for the sake of it when there's no indication that they're gay, and I think it's highly unlikely that they would ever hook up on the show...even Angie herself does not seem fond of the idea. And I remember watching a few past TV interviews with Sasha and whenever she was asked about the shippers shipping Jane and Maura together, she just laughed it off and never once did she ever say she supported the idea. So it seems both actresses themselves are not particularly fond of the idea of Jane & Maura hooking up either...they seemed to get a good laugh out of the idea though...but out of all their many interviews I've watched and read, never once have they ever outright said or implied they supported the idea of them as a lesbian couple.
I have pointed out multiple times now the things they do that no straight best friends do. How are you ignoring that? That makes literally no sense, from even the perspective of "I don't like the two of them together." This is stuff even the violently Anti-gay people would agree with me on. :)
Seriously, do I need to give you time stamps and screen captures, and more details? Like 20 times more words than this for each one?
Your statements about the actresses seem to misunderstand that people change over time. And it's exceedingly unlikely that even when they laughed the idea off, they didn't already know how it seemed. You can laugh at something and agree with it at the same time.
But I'm sorry, no human being on the planet looks longingly at their best friend like Jane did to Maura when Maura was singing at the end of the second episode of this final season.
You will literally never find someone who does that. In the totality of human existence. Yes, I mean that literally. As in the entire span of human history.
I'm not trying to be the world's most annoying man, despite what it may seem, but if you're going to ignore the evidence, let alone not address them, well, I can't help but wonder if you're my evil twin. :)
Because this is totally something my evil twin would do. Do you have a Goatee? That's always a sign.

I see Jane and Kent ending up together, even if it's after the show ends and only in our minds. That is unless they do some made for TV movies. She acts like she doesn't like him because she's afraid to admit her feelings. However, I've been binge watching the 6th season to get caught up and I find Jane being really annoying lately.
