Where is Frankie going?

Korsak retires but his bar is like next door to the police station and he'll be seeing everyone there anyways, Maura is going for like a month or 2, Jane is moving away so why and where is Frank going ? And why do they make it all seem like big goodbyes when they all will be seeing each other regularly except maybe for Jane which will sure keep in touch.

Frankie got promoted and his own desk. He even got Frost Action Figure, a nice homage to the character

I'm just glad they didn't kill anyone off. With this finale set-up going on for a few weeks I was kind of afraid we'd go off on a cliched "final mission" story for one of the characters.
