Masterpiece compared to everything from 1997' onward!

To me, Eraser was his last decent movie. Expendables doesn't count since he had two minutes of screen time, so barring Expendables 2, I found The Last Stand to be his best movie since Eraser!

Now, the final battle verges on B movie status at times, the Eurotrash villain was dumb (I like the actor though), and there was a bit too much nonstop music at times, but everything else was pretty good for a current Arnold movie! His acting was subtle and not forced, the action was old school, the aging aspect wasn't too overplayed, and there were some inspired ideas throughout as well! The cornfield chase was a blast, even with some noticeable green screen here and there, and Arnold's physicality was appropriately done.

If Conan, Expendables 3 and his other new movies are good, then that's a hell of a comeback!

BTW, amazing set design!!! I only now found out that half the town was constructed for the movie!
