Bridge scene

Runs up to bridge, no Ahnuld! Looks up at bridge, Ahnuld!!!

reply

Just proves that Arnie has some unbelievable skills :D

I understand what you're saying but I really liked that scene...very reminiscent of any number of great westerns.

Um, no. I rewatched that scene a few times and everything was bare, there was no where Arnold could have hid while waiting for him to come. Yet when he reaches the start of the bridge arnold magically appears. I guess that's why they call him Arnold!!

reply

Why did he meet him there though, cause he had a lot of trouble fighting him. Arnie gets quite a battering.

reply

The mexican guy also got a battering from Arnie,

reply

Arnie trolled him by hanging under the bridge.

-----------------------------------

Mercury: You could do great harm.
Hercules: Ahm To Oom?

reply

I think when he arrived, Ahnold should have tossed a grenade and we see part of the bridge blow and the rest fall. Then Ahnold could have smirked and said "The bridge is out."

reply

I'm just surprised that he didn't have people waiting for him on the other side as well. I would have expected his crew in Mexico would have been over on the Mexican side to make sure he got across safely.

reply

It's possible the original plan would have had those guys stay by the bridge after they built it , but because the cops spotted them they had to alter their plans. Still , could have had more there and even on the other side, unless that would have attracted too much attention.

reply

Owens (is that a Germanic name?) must have hidden somewhere.

What I don't get is, how did the sheriff know that Cortez had no gun?

Would have made more sense if there'd been a bush or something for him to hide behind, then jump Cortez as he started onto the bridge, disarm him, and do the fisticuffs thing. But that would have made too much sense for a movie like this!
