The fight was surprisingly good... (Spoilers)

I can see why some people wouldn't like this movie. It's perhaps not the grand return that Arnold Schwarzenegger fans had hoped for, but it's better than most of his films made after True Lies (1994).

Since fast motion and trick camera angles were obviously out of the question, I think they made a very wise decision in having the final struggle resemble an MMA fight. It's gritty, you can feel the impact and it's easy to follow what's going on. I never liked the fights where you can't really tell what's going on.

It's not the absolute best fight in Arnold's filmography. In my opinion, that honor goes to Matrix versus Bennett (Vernon Wells) in Commando (1985). But it is probably the best that one could hope for at this stage in his life. I know I pretty impressed with it.

I also think it's kind of interesting that, even when the villain had the advantage, he still spent most of the fight on his back. There aren't very many fights for which that could be said.

I liked the fight scene. It was brute force vs agilty, straight punches vs grappling. The tension was there, the villain was hated enough. It's a shame this movie didn't get more attention.

I agree, good realistic fight scene, though I still don't see how his neck broke.
