Good horror 7/10

Well acted and filmed, good story although not very original, a worth watching overall

Yes, I gave it a 6.5. It was pretty good.

It definitely could have been better, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I think it was a bit stale, cinematography wise; but the ending made up for that with some cool shots.

I'm looking forward to the sequel.

It's one of the best horror movies of all time. I'm serious.

Super OST, slick modern photography, a brilliant lead performance from Sosie Bacon, an entertaining movie that delivers some scares and laughs whilst having a story about trauma begetting more trauma.

Ultimately it's fun and rewatchable. Which is paramount for longevity.

It's completely decimates the majority of the horror 'classics' from the 60s, 70s & 80s. Anyone who puts movies like Night of the Living Dead (1968), The Evil Dead (1981) or A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) over Smile is a clown. I'm sure some hipsters would try tell us that Dracula (1931) is superior too. Ha!

reply

I don't like the movies you mentioned either but I do like Smile, it is rewatchable indeed
