"A Single Shot" is really wonderful novel about a fellow who is out hunting a deer and mistakenly shots a young woman. I read it when it was first released as a novel in 2007 and was blown away by it. Then I read recently that it has been re-released as a soft cover with a great introduction by Daniel Woodrell. (The into is printed in its entirety on Amazon.com.)
Apparently it went into production as a film, but I haven't heard a single thing about it. Does anyone have any info on the status of the filming? It looks like a great cast.
